Ukraine can offer an educational plan for children in the Kursk region: the Ministry of Education and Culture refuted the statement of the deputy minister

On August 22, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykhailo Vynnytskyi stated during a briefing that Ukraine is ready, if necessary, to ensure the educational process for children in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. However, the Ministry of Education and Science later denied this statement.

Vynnytskyi noted that in the case of a long-term presence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the territory of the Kursk region, the Ministry of Education and Culture can develop an educational plan for children in this region already in September-October. At the same time, he emphasized that this plan does not involve moving children to the territory of Ukraine.

“We condemn our enemy, who moves the children of Ukrainian citizens to the territory of the Russian Federation. We consider this a fundamental violation of human rights. Therefore, we are definitely not talking about any movement of children from the Kursk region to the territory of Ukraine.” – the message says.

However, later, in a comment for RBC-Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science refuted Vynnytskyi’s words, stating that this was his personal opinion.

“No relevant official decisions were adopted by the Ministry of Education and Science. Vinnytskyi’s statement is solely his personal opinion and assumptions and is not the official position of the Ministry of Education and Science”, – the ministry emphasized.

We will remind that as of August 19, the Armed Forces of Ukraine control 92 settlements in the Kursk region of Russia, which is more than 1,250 square kilometers of territory.
