Ukraine has identified 50 Russian military personnel involved in attacks on civilian infrastructure: Kostin

Law enforcement agencies of Ukraine have identified and announced suspicion of 51 Russian servicemen involved in shelling of civilian infrastructure. Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin stated this. informs Prosecutor General’s Office on Telegram.
“To date, 51 Russian servicemen have been notified of suspicion for indiscriminate shelling and bombing. The investigation of 21 persons has been completed and indictments have been sent to court. 10 war crimes have been convicted.”, – noted Kostin.
He emphasized that shelling of civilian objects is one of the most massive crimes committed by the Russian army in Ukraine. Residential buildings, medical and educational institutions, as well as energy infrastructure are under attack.
The Prosecutor General recalled that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine, more than 184,000 civilian objects have been destroyed or damaged, including more than 3,400 educational institutions and more than 800 medical institutions. Also, the Russian Federation carried out more than a thousand attacks on more than 200 energy facilities throughout the country.
The Office of the Prosecutor General is actively cooperating with the International Criminal Court (ICC) in investigating these crimes and bringing the perpetrators to justice. Four warrants have already been issued for the arrest of representatives of the Russian command for organizing massive attacks on the civilian and critical infrastructure of Ukraine.
