Ukraine has completed the formation of a full-fledged internal production cycle of wind generating equipment and is able to independently meet its own needs in this segment. This was stated by Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Viktor Mykyta, commenting on the launch of production of key components for wind energy.
According to him, a Ukrainian enterprise has for the first time manufactured a blade for a wind turbine designed for electricity generation.
«A product of the company “Friendly Wind Technology” LLC, 75 meters long and weighing 25 tons came off the assembly line and is ready for installation. During the production, the latest equipment, the main matrix for the production of blades from the company “Gurit”, modern materials and dozens of highly qualified and experienced specialists were used,” he noted.
Victor Mykyta emphasized that the launch of such production indicates a high level of technological development of the Ukrainian industry. According to his assessment, the country has actually reached the same level as the world’s leading manufacturers of wind generating equipment, including the USA, China, Germany, Denmark, Spain, India, Brazil and South Korea.
The completion of the full production cycle opens up an opportunity for Ukraine not only to strengthen its energy independence, but also to strengthen its positions in the field of renewable energy at the international level.
