Ukraine has returned another 150 of its citizens from captivity

On February 5, an exchange of prisoners of war took place between Ukraine and Russia according to the “150 for 150” formula. Among those returned from Russian captivity are soldiers, sergeants and officers. About this reported President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

“Today is a good day for all of us. We are returning 150 of our defenders from Russian captivity. They are soldiers, sergeants, officers. Soldiers of the Navy who were captured in Mariupol and Zaporizhzhia region, Air Force, soldiers of the Airborne Assault and Ground Forces, National Guardsmen, border guards, security forces, as well as a police officer.

All of them are from different directions of the front, but they have one thing in common: they fought for Ukraine. Some of the boys were held captive for over two years. And today for them and their relatives is a day that weighs more than the years of waiting. It is a real happiness to see them at home, alive, free”, says the message.

We will remind that the previous exchange of prisoners took place on January 15. Then Ukraine returned 25 of its citizens from Russian captivity. Among them were defenders of Mariupol and “Azovstal”, as well as 1 civilian.
