Ukraine has sent the US a response to the updated “peace plan”
Ukraine has sent Donald Trump’s administration its comments on the updated American “peace plan”, which consists of 20 points and provides for significant concessions regarding territories. This is reported by Axios, citing Ukrainian and American officials.
As the publication’s sources note, the document with changes from Kyiv was submitted by national security adviser and chief negotiator Rustem Umerov. The response was addressed to Jared Kushner, who is Donald Trump’s advisor and son-in-law.
The Ukrainian representative emphasized that the comments and recommendations submitted by Kyiv – are amendments “that make the plan more feasible”. Before submitting the document, the Ukrainian side coordinated its position with the E3 countries – France, Germany and the United Kingdom for several days. It was these partners who joined in the search for solutions to the most controversial topics, including the issue of territories and the situation around the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump confirmed that he was waiting for Ukraine’s response and said that peace could be “closer than ever”.
