Ukraine is finalising the final document for the second Peace Summit: what is known about its content
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced, that Ukraine is preparing a separate document that will contain all aspects of Russian aggression. This document will become a meaningful basis for the second Peace Summit, which is planned to be presented in November.
Zelensky noted that a conference was held today dedicated to an important point of the Peace Formula — the need to withdraw Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine, which is a fundamental condition for ending the war and preventing new aggression. Representatives of more than 50 countries and international organizations took part in the conference.
In addition, a conference was held in Latvia, dedicated to another point of the Peace Formula – compliance with the UN Charter. More than 60 countries and organizations joined the discussion. Starting from August, Ukraine organizes a series of such conferences where all points of the Peace Formula are discussed. There have already been meetings on issues of nuclear and energy security, food security, as well as the environmental consequences of Russian strikes, in particular after the explosion of the Kakhovskaya Dam.
Another conference is planned for the end of October, which will focus on humanitarian aspects, including the release of prisoners and the return of deported children. This step will complete the preparation of the final document for the Peace Summit.
Zelensky emphasized that more than two years ago, Ukraine proposed a realistic way to end the war through the Peace Formula based on the UN Charter. During the inaugural Peace Summit, it was possible to unite representatives of 100 countries and international organizations. The President urged to do everything possible to hold the next Peace Summit, which will be an important step towards achieving a just end to the war and security guarantees for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
