Ukraine is not ready for territorial concessions, but will listen to the advice regarding peace, – the head of the OP

Andriy Yermak noted that Kyiv will not compromise for the sake of independence, freedom, democracy, territorial integrity, and sovereignty.

Ukraine will not agree to a compromise with the Russian Federation on the issue of territorial concessions to end the war, but is ready to listen to advice on achieving a “just peace”. About this in an interview with Reuters stated the head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak, who is currently in Washington on the eve of the NATO summit.

“But we are not ready to compromise for the sake of very important things and values… independence, freedom, democracy, territorial integrity, sovereignty,” he said.

In response to a question about Ukraine’s assessment of US presidential candidate Donald Trump’s statement regarding the end of the war, Yermak said he could not say for sure.

Separately, the head of the President’s Office noted that Ukraine intends to encourage the new US administration to further support it. He also noted that Ukraine has bipartisan support in Washington, and polls show that most Americans support Ukraine after two years of war.

“This will be… the decision of the American people. We will respect this choice,” Yermak said about the US elections.

As you know, on June 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced new “conditions for the start of peace negotiations.” He demands the withdrawal of the Armed Forces from the entire territory of four Ukrainian regions, and Kyiv must officially abandon plans to join NATO.

At the same time, Donald Trump’s advisers disclosed to him their plan to end the war in Ukraine. According to it, Trump can stop providing military aid to Ukraine in case of its refusal from peace talks. At the same time, Moscow will be warned that any refusal to negotiate will be grounds for strengthening support for Kyiv.
