Ukraine needs 42 billion dollars of budget support in 2024
The Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, said that Ukraine will need $42 billion in budget support in 2024 to cover expenses related to ongoing Russian aggression.

“Global support for Ukraine remains steadfast,” – emphasized Georgieva, adding that “Russia’s war against Ukraine must be stopped, because it is both a human tragedy and an obstacle to global economic growth“.
At the end of March 2023, Ukraine received $15.6 billion in aid under the IMF’s Enhanced Financing Program (EFF). In addition, international partners have promised Ukraine 122 billion dollars in financial assistance until 2027. Ukraine is expected to receive $5.4 billion from the IMF in 2024.
