Ukraine has presented the concept of the unmanned jet fighter Fighter Aircraft FA v1 during the first summit on unmanned systems in the Philippines. This is reported by Defense Blog.
The Drone Warfare Summit took place from October 27 to 29 and brought together representatives of defense agencies, manufacturers and the military to discuss the role of drones in modern conflicts.
The Ukrainian delegation spoke about the experience of using unmanned systems in the air and sea spheres and showed a conceptual model of the FA v1 unmanned jet fighter. According to the published characteristics, the aircraft can reach speeds of over 250 km/h, has a flight range of up to 30 km and is capable of climbing to a height of up to 5,000 meters; The ability to detect air targets at a distance of up to 15 km is also claimed.
The silhouette of the model indicates a compact configuration with two vertical stabilizers, reminiscent of modern small unmanned aerial vehicles. Information about the manufacturer and plans for serial production was not disclosed.
Ukrainian representatives noted that the FA v1 project reflects the country’s experience gained during the current war, in which unmanned systems have become a key component of modern combat operations. The summit was an opportunity for Ukraine to share developments in the field of countering electronic warfare and the implementation of autonomous systems in multi-domain operations.
