Ukraine will continue cooperation with the ICC despite US sanctions

Ukraine will continue cooperation with the International Criminal Court (ICC) to promote the prosecution of Russian war criminals. About this stated the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhiy Tyhiy.

According to him, Ukraine is confident that the International Space Station will continue its activities, despite the sanctions introduced by US President Donald Trump. He also noted that relations between the United States and the ISS “have a long history.”

“We are convinced that the International Criminal Court will continue to perform important functions in the case of Ukraine, in particular with regard to bringing Russian criminals to justice. I believe that the American decisions are not related to the Ukrainian context, and we hope that they will not prevent the court from achieving justice for the victims of Russian aggression.” Tychy emphasized.

He emphasized that the ISS remains an important tool in achieving Ukraine’s goals:

“We believe that more arrest warrants are needed in cases against Russian criminals – those who execute Ukrainian prisoners of war, deport children, commit war crimes and fire on civilians. There is still a lot of work ahead, and we are convinced that this process will continue.”

We will remind that US President Donald Trump signed a decree on the introduction of sanctions against the International Criminal Court due to its investigation of the Americans and their allies.
