Ukraine will receive new funding for the “eRecovery” program to provide housing for 3,000 families
The Council of Europe Development Bank has approved the allocation of another 100 million euros for the eReconstruction program. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksiy Kuleba. This is the third stage of financing the HOME project, which provides for compensation for destroyed housing.
“People who have lost their homes receive housing certificates and use them to purchase new housing,” Oleksiy Kuleba noted.
He recalled that over 6,000 families have already purchased new housing within the framework of the two previous stages of financing this program. Thanks to the new solution, it will be possible to provide housing to more than 3 thousand families who have already received the relevant certificates. In total, more than 26 thousand families have already purchased new homes under the “eReconstruction” program.
It was also previously reported that the housing program for internally displaced persons from temporarily occupied territories, which provides for the provision of a voucher for 2 million UAH, was to begin financing at the end of February.
In addition, applications for participation in the compensation program for lost housing in temporarily occupied territories began on December 1. At the first stage, IDPs from TOT who have the status of a participant in hostilities or a person with a disability as a result of the war can use it.
