On October 5, the Defense Forces of Ukraine successfully destroyed another Russian aircraft near Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region. About this reported Serhii Gorbunov, head of Kostyantynivska MBA, commented on Suspilne Donbas.
According to him, the wreckage of the plane fell in the outskirts of the city, in particular in the private sector, damaging several houses. Fortunately, there were no victims or victims among the local population.
Footage of the wreckage, presumably of a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft with corresponding symbols, found in the Kostyantynivka area is being circulated on social networks. However, as of 12:57 p.m., no official confirmation of the type of the downed aircraft had yet been provided.
As Donbas Realia correspondent Serhii Horbatenko reported, the Russian plane was shot down after it carried out two airstrikes on Kramatorsk. Local groups are also circulating footage showing the plane being shot down by an air-to-air missile.
