Ukrainian drones hit drone production plant in Tatarstan: General Staff

Ukrainian defenders struck one of the facilities for the production of attack drones of the Russian Federation in Tatarstan, reported General Staff of the Armed Forces.

“As part of the reduction of the enemy’s capabilities in the production of attack unmanned aerial vehicles, on June 15, units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, inflicted damage on an important object of the military-industrial complex of the Russian aggressor.” – says the message.

The combat operation was carried out by units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with other units of the Defense Forces. The target was the production facilities of drones in the city of Yelabuga in Tatarstan — this facility of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation is used for the manufacture, testing and launch of attack drones on the territory of Ukraine, in particular on energy and civil infrastructure.

The so-called special economic zone “Alabuga” is located on the outskirts of Yelabuga, where, among other things, “shahedis” are made. This location has been struck before: on April 23, the General Staff reported the damage to a factory in the Yelabuz district, which produces about 300 different UAVs daily. Drone attacks in the city were also recorded on May 26 and June 10. The GUR carried out the first attack on the UAV production plant in Yelabuz in April 2024.
