Ukrainian medical facilities will receive modern diagnostic equipment from France

As part of intergovernmental cooperation with France, Ukrainian hospitals began to receive new equipment for diagnostics and emergency medical care. This is reports the press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

The supply is carried out within the framework of the implementation of seven agreements in the field of health care signed between Ukraine and France in April 2025 for a total amount of more than 51 million euros. They are part of the Grant Intergovernmental Agreement between the governments of the two countries, concluded in June 2024 for 200 million euros, aimed at supporting critical infrastructure and priority sectors, in particular medicine.

As part of this delivery, hospitals in 16 regions of Ukraine will receive 150 portable ultrasound scanners of the T-Lite PRO and U-Lite PRO models. The list of regions includes Volyn, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zakarpattia, Lviv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Odesa, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Cherkasy and Chernihiv regions.

Thanks to convex (for examination of internal organs), linear (for examination of blood vessels, muscles and surface tissues) and phased (for examination of the heart and working in conditions of limited access) sensors, these ultrasound systems will allow full-fledged diagnostics even in departments where stationary equipment cannot be used.

Deliveries will last approximately until September 10. After that, the medical staff will undergo additional training for quick commissioning of the equipment.

Among the first recipients are multidisciplinary clinical hospitals of Dnipro, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and Kyiv, regional emergency medical care centers, perinatal and cardiology centers, as well as community primary care centers. This will significantly strengthen the capabilities of doctors both in large cities and in remote areas.

The new equipment will significantly increase the efficiency of emergency services and intensive care units, where the timely intervention of doctors is crucial for saving patients’ lives.
