Ukrainian underwater drone “Toloka” adapted for demining the Black Sea

The Ukrainian underwater drone “Toloka” was adapted for demining the waters of the Black Sea. About this informs association “Ukrainian council of gunsmiths”.

The solution from the Ukrainian company is already ready for underwater demining tasks. This type of work is one of the most difficult and expensive in the field of demining, as well as the least regulated in legislation. Out of more than 100 demining operators in Ukraine, only ten have the necessary certificates and experience for underwater work.

Currently, about 13,500 km² of water territory has been mined in Ukraine. According to estimates, ecological losses caused by hostilities in reservoirs can reach about 80 billion euros. The economic consequences due to the shutdown of Ukrainian ports and waterways are even more tangible.

We will remind that the “Toloka” TLK-150 drone was presented for the first time in April 2023. Its length is 2.5 meters, and its range is about 100 km. The design provides for the possibility of installing a warhead weighing from 20 to 50 kg.

It is also planned to create two larger versions — TLK-400 and TLK-1000. The first will have a length of 4 to 6 meters, a payload of up to 500 kg and a range of up to 1,200 km. The TLK-1000 version will reach 12 meters in length, be able to carry up to 5,000 kg of explosives and cover distances of up to 2,000 km.
