The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is switching to video recording of inspections of logistics assets

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is introducing a new approach to checking the quality of logistics assets, providing for mandatory photo and video recording of control procedures. The launch of a corresponding pilot project was announced by the press service of the defense department.

As explained by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, portable video recorders or body cameras will be used to record processes. During the control, they will be worn by representatives of the state quality assurance bodies, which will allow documenting all stages of the inspections.

The Head of the Main Department of State Quality Assurance, Colonel Yevhen Krasnikov, noted that the introduction of such tools meets modern requirements and will contribute to increasing the responsibility of all parties involved in the supply of logistics assets.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine emphasizes that the use of recording devices is aimed at ensuring the objectivity and transparency of product acceptance procedures, as well as forming an evidentiary base in the event of disputes arising during the implementation of supply contracts.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense recalled that from September 1, 2025, representatives of territorial procurement centers (TCCs) are required to record their activities using body cameras. A similar practice is planned to be used by landscaping inspectors in Kyiv during the performance of their official duties.
