Ukrainians abroad will be fined at the same level as those in Ukraine: Ministry of Defense (video)

Deputy Minister Kateryna Chornogorenko noted that the amount of the fine will be from 17,000 to 25,000 hryvnias.

Ukrainians who are abroad and have not updated their military registration data by July 16 will receive fines on a par with other citizens. However, the implementation of this procedure will be difficult. Deputy Minister of Defense Kateryna Chornogorenko told about this interview mass media

She explained that Ukrainian citizens who are abroad and have not updated their military registration data will face the same administrative fines as those who are in Ukraine. The amount of the fine can be from 17,000 to 25,000 hryvnias. This is an important step in ensuring the equality of all citizens in matters of military registration.

“Unfortunately, there is currently no clear tool to implement this process, as imposing a fine requires a decision on an administrative offense, which must be passed by the relevant person. The offender must then pay the fine.”, – noted Chornohorenko.

She also added that the implementation of these measures requires the coordinated work of several government agencies, which complicates the process.

Kateryna Chornogorenko emphasized that citizens of Ukraine abroad remain the same citizens of the state as those who are in the country. They must bear the same administrative responsibility for violating military accounting requirements. However, it will be quite difficult to implement these measures due to the lack of a clear procedure and the need for international coordination.

“We will see how we will deal with this together with the General Staff,” she added, emphasizing the need for close cooperation between the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff and other relevant bodies for the effective implementation of this initiative. It is also important to consider the potential legal and logistical challenges that may arise in the process.

The lack of clear tools for the implementation of such fines calls into question the effectiveness of this initiative, which requires additional attention and cooperation between state authorities.
