As of March 2025, the debt of NEC “Ukrenergo” to the participants of the balancing market amounts to 18.4 billion hryvnias, of which 6.8 billion hryvnias belong to “Ukrhydroenergo”. About this stated First Deputy Minister of Energy Yuriy Sheika during a meeting of the Committee on Energy and Public Utilities.
“Ukrenergo’s debt to the participants of the balancing market amounts to 18.4 billion hryvnias, which is 800 million hryvnias more than at the beginning of February.” – said Sheiko.
He reported that the total debt to Ukrenergo itself exceeded 36 billion hryvnias, of which 11.8 billion hryvnias belong to the supplier of last hope – Ukrinterenergo. According to him, the main reason for the accumulation of debt is non-payment by state and communal enterprises.
We will remind that as of the end of February, the debt to producers of electricity from renewable sources reached 24.7 billion hryvnias.
