“Ukrnafta” drilled the first well at one of the deposits in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The company has started the development of the area in Prykarpattia and plans to drill ten new wells, reported press service of the enterprise.
“Ukrnafta drilled the first well in 13 years at one of the company’s youngest and most promising fields. In the coming years, the company plans to build 10 more wells there.”, the message says.
As the director of PJSC “Ukrnafta” Serhii Koretskyi said, the field, which was discovered in 1990, is located at an altitude of 1080 m above sea level. Due to the mountainous terrain and the lack of sufficient communications, the conditions of work there are very difficult. For this reason, the company will work here independently, without the involvement of private partners.
“We work on our own, because the market refused – it’s too difficult. That’s why we brought our own machines there – we have the first serious results.” – noted Koretskyi.
