“Ukrnafta” stopped 11 tenders for gas piston installations: what happened

PJSC “Ukrnafta” canceled 11 tenders for the purchase, installation and commissioning of gas-piston power plants due to the lack of submitted proposals. This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine with reference to data from the Prozorro system.

In five other tenders, only one offer was submitted and decisions are currently awaited on these tenders. In particular, “MIK” LLC from Zaporizhzhia submitted offers for four of them, and “Compressors International” LLC from Kyiv – for one.

We will remind that at the beginning of August, Ukrnafta announced auctions for gas piston installations with a total capacity of 63.59 MW to 76.4 MW, with a delivery deadline of December 31, 2025. The expected total cost of the purchase was UAH 1.57 billion (excluding VAT).

However, in mid-August, the company also canceled tenders for the purchase of three gas-piston cogeneration plants with a total capacity of 72 to 80 MW. These tenders included installation and commissioning services. All submitted proposals came from only one participant and were rejected due to inconsistency with the tender documentation.

Cooperation with the EBRD

With the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which accumulates 300 million euros to support the energy sector of Ukraine, “Ukrnafta” plans to build shunting power generation capacities. This initiative is aimed at strengthening the country’s energy system, which was damaged by Russian attacks, and ensuring a stable supply of electricity in the medium term.
