Joint-stock company “Ukrainian defense industry” and the French company “Thales International SAS” signed an agreement on the creation of a joint venture. About this reported Herman Smetanin, Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine.
“The Ukrainian defense industry has been cooperating with Thales International SAS for a long time, and I am glad that this cooperation is deepening to the creation of a joint venture. Thank you to our partners for supporting our defense industry and the courage to work in Ukraine”Herman Smetanin noted.
The joint venture will develop advanced technological solutions and provide rapid and effective support in the areas of air defense, radar systems, radio-electronic warfare, tactical communications and optical-electronic systems.
General Director of Ukroboronprom Oleg Gulyak emphasized the importance of this cooperation:
“The practical consequences of the partnership with “Thales International SAS” will be the tighter closing of the Ukrainian sky from Russian threats and the acquisition by our gunsmiths of new experience in working with the most modern technologies.”
