Ukrzaliznytsia received access to military airspace control systems

The Ukrzaliznytsia control center has received access to military airspace control systems and is continuously monitoring the situation regarding threats from drones. This was reported by Advisor to the Minister of Defense Serhiy Beskrestnov.

If a real threat to the lives of passengers is detected, a decision is made to evacuate people from the train. If the risk is not considered critical, safety is ensured by changing the schedule so as not to create unnecessary anxiety among passengers.

According to Beskrestnov, a drone hitting a car with people in it can have catastrophic consequences, so in case of danger, passengers are advised to move away from the train at least 100 meters.

He also reported that there have been cases when manually controlled drones, after detecting trains, changed their target and attacked them.

Thanks to the coordination of actions between Ukrzaliznytsia specialists and the military, several hundred trains have already been secured, although for most passengers such actions usually remain unnoticed.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russian troops have carried out about five thousand attacks on the infrastructure of Ukrzaliznytsia. As a result, a significant number of locomotives, passenger cars and stations were damaged.
