The Russian army launched almost 300 drones from six directions into Ukraine

On the night of May 17, starting at 7:00 p.m. on May 16, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 287 Shahed-type strike UAVs, including jets, as well as Gerber drones, Italmas and Parody-type drones. This was reported by the Air Force.

The Russian Federation launched drones from the directions of Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Shatalovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation.

As of the morning of May 17, air defenses had shot down or suppressed 279 enemy UAVs in the north, south and east of Ukraine. At the same time, eight strike drones were recorded hitting seven locations, as well as falling debris in seven more places.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

The Air Force warned that the Russian attack was continuing.

On the night of May 17, the Russians attacked Kharkiv, Dnipro and the region, Kherson region with drones. Fires broke out in Dnipro after the strike, and at least three people were injured.

This night, units of the Vostok PMC destroyed 56 UAVs in various districts of the region, the regional administration reported.
