US weapons are already at the front: the delivery of the first part of aid to Ukraine has been confirmed
The United States has confirmed that the first part of weapons from the previous package of military aid to Ukraine has already been delivered and is being used by the Ukrainian military.
About this during the briefing reported White House National Security Council Coordinator John Kirby:
“Some of the first weapons systems we announced as part of the additional funding that was allocated the same day the president signed the law are already on the battlefield in the hands of the Ukrainian military.”, – he said.
Kirby did not reveal exactly what types of weapons and equipment have already been delivered to Ukraine, for security reasons. However, he noted that the quick delivery was made possible by the prior placement of some types of weapons in US and NATO warehouses in Europe.
The representative of the White House added that the Pentagon is making every effort to deliver the remaining weapons and equipment from both aid packages – both the previous and the new one – as soon as possible.
“The Ministry of Defense is literally turning heaven and earth to do this as soon as possible. And now work is still going on with the supplies that remained in the previous package”, – stated John Kirby.
