Verification of addresses in the Unified State Register has begun
The Unified State Register has begun the process of verifying addresses to clarify data.
Local self-government bodies have started verification of addresses in the Unified State Register of Addresses (USRA) in order to systematize address information and create a single, accurate data source. About this informs Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
Purpose and stages of verification
It is noted that after the completion of the verification, each settlement, street, building or structure will have a unique identifier and a single correct name. Verification involves several key stages:
- Verification of street names.
- Adding street geometry.
- Adding historical and synonymous street names.
- Adding documents that confirm the existence of addresses.
- Verification of address numbers (buildings).
- Verification of premises in the following stages.
Benefits and goals
Up-to-date data from the registry will allow Ukrainians to use state services with always up-to-date information and avoid possible fraud regarding real estate ownership rights, the department said in a statement.
The Ministry also noted that earlier training was held for representatives from more than 950 communities who will work with the Address Register and fill it. Currently, these specialists are getting access to the offices of the Address Register and are starting to verify addresses.
Unified state register of addresses
We will remind that in March 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution on the creation of three basic registers: administrative-territorial units (EDRATO), addresses (EDRA), buildings and structures (RBS).
The implementation of these registers will not only be an effective tool in the fight against corruption, but will also help solve problems with property registration, avoid errors in the calculation of subsidies, and simplify the provision of social services.
The creation of open registers is an important practice for EU countries and a big step for Ukraine towards further integration into a single digital European space.
New opportunities in the field of construction
It was previously reported that Ukraine is implementing a new system of automatic primary registration of special property rights in the field of construction through the Unified State Electronic System. This will make it possible to submit electronic applications for registration of rights to real estate without the participation of state registrars.
