Verkhovna Rada announces the number of civil servants who have been disabled since the beginning of the Russian invasion
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 336 employees of the State Customs Service have been granted the status of persons with disabilities. This was stated by Danylo Hetmantsev, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy.
The MP published information in response to his request on the number of government employees who became disabled as a result of the hostilities that began on 24 February 2022.
According to the data provided:
- The National Securities and Stock Market Commission (NSSMC) reported three people, two of whom are women.
- The Bureau of Economic Security (BES) noted that two employees had been granted the status of persons with disabilities.
- The State Financial Monitoring Service did not record any cases.
- The State Customs Service of Ukraine (SCSU) reported the highest number of victims: 264 men and 72 women.
- The Commission for Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (CRGL) refused to provide information, citing the Law of Ukraine ‘On Protection of Personal Data’.
Based on these results, Hetmantsev announced that he would submit an additional request to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
As a reminder, starting from 1 January 2025, medical and social expert commissions in Ukraine will cease to operate as separate legal entities and their functions will be transferred to cluster and supercluster hospitals.
