President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Stavka dedicated to energy issues. According to his results, he announced that the government is increasing stocks of energy equipment ahead of winter.
Zelensky noted that during the Stavka it was decided to listen to the reports of the leaders of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Donetsk regions regarding the financing of energy infrastructure restoration.
“There were also reports on the deployment of air defense – additional capabilities, complex defense – reports of military commanders, as well as a detailed conversation on the protection of energy facilities themselves, specific communities“, the president said.
According to him, the Netherlands and Norway took initiatives to support Ukraine’s gas reserves in the winter period.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will gather the ambassadors of the states that can help”, the head of state said.
We will remind you that in August, Russia intensified its attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. From August to the beginning of October 2025, objects in Chernihiv, Sumy, and Donetsk regions came under attack. In addition, gas production facilities in the Poltava region were also struck.
