Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke at the UN Security Council

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke at the UN Security Council, appealing to the international community to increase pressure on Russia and unite for peace.

During his speech, Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the key to stopping Russian aggression is superiority in the sky:

“If there is no war in the sky, Russia will not be able to conduct military operations on the ground. I talked about it with President Trump and with other leaders.

Zelensky addressed directly to the permanent members of the Security Council – the USA, China, Great Britain and France.

“With this war, Russia discredited itself. Even those who do not openly criticize Putin already feel that Russia’s presence does not bring any benefit. Behind every international institution there must be a real force to ensure the implementation of decisions. Act together, unite to stop this war, Zelensky urged.

During the speech, he also emphasized that the United Nations is losing influence and is too often unable to make real decisions on key issues. In addition, Zelenskyi said that Russia is completely dependent on China, and it is Beijing that could force Moscow to stop its invasion of Ukraine.

The president recalled that the Budapest memorandum was supposed to guarantee Ukraine security in exchange for giving up nuclear weapons, but this document did not work and instead became a warning to the world.
