Yermak in the USA held negotiations regarding the joint production of weapons with Ukraine
During his visit to the USA, the head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, held a meeting with the American military and security experts. The event was also attended by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov, Deputy Minister of Defense Oleksandr Balanutsa, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Volodymyr Horbatyuk, Chief of the Main Logistics Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Shevtsov, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Mykola Tochytskyi and Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President Daria Zarivna.
At the meeting, the prospects of joint production of weapons between Ukraine and the USA were discussed. Participants exchange their views and recommendations aimed at the development of this cooperation.
Minister of Defense Umerov briefed American partners in detail about the current situation on the battlefield. The head of the President’s Office emphasized that Russia continues active attacks on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine, noting the importance of strengthening the Ukrainian air defense system. Only during the current week, Russia launched more than 400 missiles and drones over Ukrainian territories.
Yermak also emphasized the need to increase assistance from international partners to increase the pace of production of long-range weapons, in particular, attack unmanned aerial vehicles and cruise missiles.
During its visit to the USA, the Ukrainian delegation also met with national security advisers of the USA, Great Britain, Germany and France.
