Yuliya Svyridenko announced the opening of categories for business and the public sector in the Register of Losses

By the end of the year, separate categories for business and the public sector will appear in the Register of Damages Caused by Russia’s Aggression Against Ukraine. This was reported Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.

“People are not waiting for papers, but for real payments. We work for this. We plan: in the coming weeks to open several new categories of applications in Action; by the end of the year – to open categories for business and the public sector”, – said Svyridenko following the results of an online meeting with the management of the Register of Losses of Ukraine.

The participants of the meeting emphasized that for the effective operation of the system, it is necessary to create a separate international compensation fund. It can be filled both at the expense of frozen Russian assets and through part of the income from the export of Russian oil and gas.

“It is expected that in December in The Hague, during the Diplomatic Conference, the signing of the Convention on the establishment of the International Commission for consideration of applications for Ukraine will take place. This will pave the way for the launch of a real payment mechanism for victims. Together with our partners, we are actively working to ensure that new member states join the practical implementation of the mechanism. Ukraine, together with international partners, is actively working to ensure that new participating states join the implementation of the mechanism, – added the prime minister.

We would like to remind you that on September 11, the Cabinet of Ministers expanded the list of categories of applications to the Register of Losses. Soon, Ukrainians will be able to submit applications not only for the death or disappearance of loved ones, damage to health or destroyed property, but also due to forced departure abroad, deportation of children and adults, loss of housing, work or own business.
