Zelensky noted that the countries of the European space are gathering for the fourth time at the summit of the European Political Community to discuss common topics and challenges. He emphasized that he came to Great Britain to participate in the summit, hold bilateral meetings with partners and sign new security agreements.
A separate part of Zelenskyi’s visit is Ukraine’s relations with Great Britain. He plans to meet with King Charles III, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, government officials and defense company executives. It is planned to sign an intergovernmental agreement on the support of the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex, as well as to discuss future defense cooperation and the expansion of Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
Zelenskyi emphasized that from the first days of the full-scale invasion, Great Britain demonstrated strong support for Ukraine. “This is the kind of determination needed to stop Russian terror.”, – he emphasized.
During his visit to Great Britain, Zelensky also plans to hold several important meetings and sign key agreements that have a significant impact on the future cooperation between the two countries. Meetings with representatives of the defense industry will contribute to the further strengthening of Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
It is planned to sign several strategic agreements, in particular, on the support of the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex, which includes the supply of modern weapons and technologies. Possibilities of joint production of military equipment and exchange of experience in the field of defense will also be discussed.
Ukraine and Great Britain will consider expanding cooperation in the field of cyber security and intelligence. These areas of cooperation are critically important for protection against Russian aggression and ensuring stability in the region.
In addition to defense cooperation, Zelenskyi also plans to discuss with British partners opportunities for expanding economic relations between Ukraine and Great Britain. This includes investments in infrastructure, energy and other key sectors of the Ukrainian economy.
