Zelenskyy discussed with Macron strengthening Ukrainian air defense and ballistic protection
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with President of France Emmanuel Macron. The parties discussed strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, European integration, and coordination of actions in the international arena.
According to Zelenskyy, France is ready to join the work on strengthening Ukraine’s defense against ballistic threats.
“France is ready to work on anti-ballistics. This is a strong decision and an important step,” Zelensky noted.
Separately, the presidents discussed strengthening Ukraine’s capabilities to repel Russian attacks now, as well as opening all negotiation clusters on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union in the near future.
Macron also informed Zelensky about his visit to African countries. The leaders agreed to coordinate actions in this direction as well.
Zelensky said that Ukraine must respond to Russian attacks fairly and tangibly. According to him, he agreed on separate formats for responding to Russia’s latest massive attacks. He also reported that Russia has intensified contacts with Alexander Lukashenko, trying to draw Belarus deeper into the war.
