Zelenskyy expects a serious reaction from the United States and Europe to “hundreds of Shaheds every night”

Russia must be forced into peace, as the daily massive drone attacks cannot go unanswered. The response of the US and European partners is critical. About this stated President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi in his evening address.

“It is impossible to ignore hundreds of “shaheed” every night. We expect a reaction, a serious reaction. We are working on a reaction. A strong reaction is very necessary – first of all, from America, Europe, everyone in the world who bet on diplomacy. Russia must be forced to make peace. And only coercion will work.” – emphasized the president.

According to Zelenskyi, the US proposal for an unconditional ceasefire has been unanswered by the Russian Federation for a long time. He believes that peace could have been achieved if proper pressure, including sanctions, had been applied to Russia.

“This says a lot. There could already be a ceasefire if there was real pressure on Russia. I want to thank those partners who understand this and who are promoting the necessary solutions. In particular, these are new sanctions solutions.” – concluded the head of state.

It will be recalled that after the negotiations in Riyadh between the USA, Ukraine and Russia, a partial 30-day truce was agreed on regarding energy facilities – it was about refraining from carrying out strikes. Moscow has said that the cessation of attacks began on March 18, but the facts suggest otherwise.

In particular, on March 27, according to the presidential communications adviser Dmytro Lytvyn, at least two strikes on energy infrastructure were recorded. The next day, it became known about the attack on the facilities of the Naftogaz company, as a result of which the gas production facilities were damaged.
