President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi offered the first stages of the truce. According to him, the first steps towards a reliable peace in Ukraine could be the release of prisoners, an immediate truce in the sky and at sea.
“We are ready to work quickly to end the war, and the first steps could be the release of prisoners, an immediate cease-fire in the skies: no missiles, no long-range drones, no bombing of energy and other civilian infrastructure – and an immediate cease-fire at sea if Russia does the same. Then we want to go through all the next steps very quickly and agree with the US on a strong final agreement.” – said Zelensky.
According to his conviction, Russia should respond with mirror steps.
We will remind that on March 2, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer proposed to establish a truce in Ukraine for a period of one month: “in the air, at sea and in energy.”
