Ukrainians are invited to choose a name for the first national large language model (LLM), which is being created as a basis for digital services. Voting is taking place in the “Diya” application and will last until March 29. This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
The ministry noted that the Ukrainian large language model is being developed together with Kyivstar. It is about creating an “AI brain”, which will become the basis of future digital services for millions of users.
As explained by the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the model will have the ability to understand the Ukrainian context, dialects and historical features, which should improve the quality of user interaction with digital products.
“We continue to develop the first national large language model together with Kyivstar – an AI brain, on the basis of which services for millions will work. LLM will understand the Ukrainian context, dialects and history”, – the Ministry of Digital Affairs noted.
The name for the model is determined by the Ukrainians themselves. Previously, users submitted over three thousand options, of which ten were included in the final list:

Slovo (Slovo);
Dzvinka (Dzvinka);
Hoverla (Hoverla);
Shypit (Shypit);
Search (Shukai);
Yadro (Yadro);
Kavun (Kavun);
Homin (Homin).
You can vote in the “Diya” application in the “Services” → “Polls” section. The Ministry of Digital Affairs emphasizes that participating in the vote gives you the opportunity to join the creation of Ukrainian AI.
