Kyiv plans to deploy 500 mobile shelters in places where it is not possible to equip stationary ones. This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.
“The executors will be district state administrations, which must determine the locations and needs for such shelters”, – Klitschko reported.
According to the mayor, at the last session of the Kyiv City Council, the issue of installing mobile shelters in the capital was considered, which was approved by the City Defense Council.
“In recent years, the capital has allocated more than 7 billion UAH for this. Almost 2,000 shelters have been repaired. This year, 4 billion UAH were allocated for shelters”, – he explained.
Klitschko pointed out that there are areas without a metro and stationary shelters – remote residential areas and the left bank. It is in such places where it is impossible to equip stationary shelters that mobile shelters are needed.
Let us recall that in 2024 Kyiv allocated UAH 2.4 billion for the arrangement of shelters, improving fire safety in schools, preparing them for winter, and creating training centers on the subject of “Defense of Ukraine”.
