90 countries and organizations have confirmed their participation in the Peace Summit regarding Ukraine

Swiss President Viola Amgerd announced that 90 countries and organizations, half of which are European, have confirmed their participation in the Peace Summit for Ukraine, which will be held in Bürgenstock on June 15-16.
This is what she is about reported during a meeting with journalists, reports The Washington Post.
Amgerd noted that the purpose of the Summit is to outline ways to a possible peace. Most countries will be represented at the highest level — by presidents and prime ministers. French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz are expected to attend the summit. From the United States of America, Vice President Kamala Harris will be present at the Summit along with the President’s National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan.
“This is not about propaganda. This is the basis of the humanitarian aid provided by Switzerland, based on peacebuilding and providing a platform for dialogue“, Amgerd emphasized.
At the same time, Swiss officials noted that Brazil and China refused to participate in the Summit due to Russia’s absence. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, said that it makes no sense to invite Russia, as it cannot be guaranteed that it will act in good faith. The Office of the President of Ukraine added that a joint negotiating position will be developed at the Summit, which will then be handed over to Russia.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, announced that the Summit will be devoted to the development of frameworks that will stimulate the future peace process. Kyiv invited all countries, regardless of their support or non-support of Ukraine, to hear everyone’s opinion in order to end the war.
Representatives of China, who wanted to see Russia at the event, refused to participate in the Summit. According to Reuters, China is working to prevent some countries from coming to the conference.
