A scheme to evade mobilization with the participation of a medical commission exposed in Rivne
In Rivne, law enforcement officers uncovered a scheme to evade mobilization, organized through the local medical and social expert commission (MSEK), which was used to forge documents to obtain a fictitious disability group. About this informs Office of the Prosecutor General.
As it became known, the suspects, using their connections with doctors of various medical institutions of the city, issued false medical documents, which were later submitted to the MSEK for consideration for the assignment of disability. These documents allowed individuals to travel abroad without hindrance, avoiding mobilization.
The cost of such “services” was $16,700. The operatives detained one of the participants of the scheme after she received the MSEK certificate and transferred $5,300 – this was the last part of the total amount, the other $11,400 had already been transferred earlier.
Law enforcement officers conducted about 50 searches of suspects and medical institutions in the city, during which they seized fake medical documents and a significant amount of money – about 14.5 million hryvnias in various currencies.
Currently, preventive measures have been taken for the suspects: two of them are in custody with the possibility of posting bail, the third will be under house arrest. The investigation is ongoing.
