A 23-year-old teacher who is suspected of murdering two of his former students was arrested in Vinnytsia. This is reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
Under the procedural leadership of prosecutors of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation into the intentional murder of two schoolchildren of the Shargorod Lyceum was started (Clause 1, Part 1, Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The group of prosecutors was headed by the head of the regional prosecutor’s office Oleg Tkalenko.
The tragedy happened in the morning of September 10 in Sharhorod, Zhmeryn District. The attacker, having waited for the schoolchildren on the way to the lyceum, suddenly inflicted stabbing and penetrating wounds on their necks. The children died from their injuries during emergency medical care. After that, the man ran away.
The victims were students of the 10th and 11th grades of the local lyceum. An investigative and operative group is working at the scene under the personal leadership of the head of the regional prosecutor’s office. The alleged criminal who committed the murder of teenagers has been arrested. He turned out to be a local resident born in 2002, a former teacher of the victims.
Urgent investigative actions are currently underway. A notice of suspicion and a motion to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention are being prepared.
According to information of “Society”, the former teacher had a conflict with teenagers.
