About 300 civilians remain in Kurakhove: RMA

About 300 residents continue to remain in the almost completely occupied Kurakhovo, in Donetsk region. They deliberately refused to evacuate. About this reported head of Donetsk OVA, Vadym Filashkin.

“They had no desire to leave the city. Now the Russian troops are letting those who want to leave the city through filtering routes. We do not understand what will happen next with these people.”, the official explained.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are making maximum efforts to deter the enemy and prevent them from taking full control of the city.

The situation in other cities of Donetsk remains difficult. In Pokrovsk, which is constantly under the threat of shelling, shops, pharmacies and the branch of “Ukrposhta” continue to function, which will work at least until January 15. This allows local residents to receive basic services, despite the difficult humanitarian situation.
