VAKS changed the preventive measure of Tetyana Krupa, ex-head of the Khmelnytskyi MSEK
On September 4, the investigating judge of the Higher Anti-Corruption Court partially granted the NABU detective’s request, approved by the SAP prosecutor, regarding the extension of the preventive measure for the former head of the MSEK of the Khmelnytsky region Tetyana Krupa. Detention was replaced with bail in the amount of 20 million hryvnias.
VAX was reminded that according to Part 3 of Art. 197 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the total period of detention of a suspect during a pre-trial investigation in cases of serious or particularly serious crimes cannot exceed 12 months. At this moment, the suspect has already spent 11 months in custody.
The court also imposed a number of obligations on her, which will be effective until November 4, 2025 inclusive. She must appear at every request of the investigator, prosecutor or court, not leave Khmelnytskyi without the permission of the investigation or the court, refrain from contact with employees and former employees of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Center for Medical and Social Expertise, as well as with persons who applied to this institution.
In addition, the suspect must report a change of residence, hand over a passport for traveling abroad and other documents giving the right to cross the state border (except for an internal passport), and wear an electronic bracelet. Control over the fulfillment of these conditions of the resolution is entrusted to NABU detectives.
We will remind you that in October 2024, the head of the regional MSEK in Khmelnytskyi Tetyana Krupa was found with $6 million in cash during searches at her home and workplace. She tried to throw two bags containing $500,000 out the window. After these events, journalist Yuriy Butusov reported that Krupa issued a disability to the entire executive staff of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast Prosecutor’s Office, as a result of which the prosecutors illegally received more than 54 million hryvnias from the budget.
After Tetyana Krupa’s exposure, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Andriy Kostin, resigned, and the government decided to liquidate MSEK.
