Acceptance of applications for the National Selection for Eurovision 2026 has started in Ukraine
Public Broadcasting announced the start of accepting applications for the National Selection for Eurovision 2026. You can apply from September 3 to October 27, 2025 through the form on the eurovision.ua website.
The final selection is scheduled for February 2026 in the format of a big concert. Artists who are at least 16 years old at the time of the competition are allowed to participate. Both solo performers and bands of up to six people can apply. At the same time, the participants of the Ukrainian selection do not have the right to participate in the selections of other countries.
The rules stipulate that the song should last no longer than three minutes, be original, not contain borrowings and not be performed publicly before. It is allowed to submit an unlimited number of applications from one performer, including in the form of demo versions.
After nationwide preliminary selection, a longlist of up to 15 participants will be drawn up. They are required to pass an audition, based on the results of which a final list of up to 9 performers will be formed by December 15. In addition, among those who do not make it to the finals, a ranking online vote will be held, which will determine one more finalist.
In February 2026, the final of the National Selection will take place, where the winner will be known based on the results of the jury and audience votes.
