Some pensioners of Ukraine will receive additional payments to their pensions from the UN in May and June. This is possible thanks to a special program that has been in effect in the country since August 2023.

Who is entitled to additional payment:
- Pensioners who live in the territories of active or potential hostilities in one of the 9 regions:
- Dnipropetrovsk;
- Donetsk;
- Zaporizhzhia;
- Luhansk;
- Mykolayivska;
- Sumy;
- Kharkiv;
- Khersonsk;
- Chernihivska
- Pensioners with low benefits: the amount of assistance is equal to the difference between 3,250 hryvnias and the amount of the pension (taking into account all additional payments).
Pensioners who have received assistance from international organizations or payments for IDPs since March 1, 2023 will not receive assistance. The payment is terminated if the pensioner does not meet at least one of the criteria.
How to get a surcharge:
You don’t need to go anywhere. The amount will be calculated automatically. The money will be paid to a bank card or through a branch of “Ukrposhta” (as well as a pension). From May 1, Ukrainian pensioners over the age of 70 who receive less than UAH 10,340.35 will receive an additional allowance.
