Air defense forces managed to destroy 32 out of 53 drones during a night attack by Russian troops
On the night of December 6, the Russian army launched an attack on Ukraine, launching 53 attack drones of the “Shahed” type and other models. Ukrainian air defense destroyed 32 drones. About this reported press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“As of 07:00, units of anti-aircraft missile forces, EW and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine shot down 32 enemy UAVs in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions”, the department noted.
In addition, it is reported that 16 drones were lost in location, and another 2 left the controlled airspace in the direction of Belarus.
Kyiv City Military Administration reported, that Russian drones attacked the capital in waves, mostly single targets and from different directions. During the night in Kyiv, an air alert was announced twice, in total it lasted about 4 hours.
“Using the forces and means of the Defense Forces, more than a dozen Russian UAVs that threatened Kyiv were detected and destroyed (the exact number and type of drones will be made public by the Air Force). Previously, a fall was recorded in the city, but without serious damage or casualties.” – noted in KMVA.
