Alexei Navalny’s daughter works on Harris’ campaign team: The Times

Dasha Navalny, the daughter of the fallen Russian opposition leader Oleksii Navalny, has joined Kamala Harris’ campaign headquarters in Pennsylvania, which is crucial for the US presidential race. As informs According to The Times, 23-year-old Dasha works as a staff manager for the Harris campaign in Philadelphia, as confirmed by her LinkedIn account.
Navalny, who graduated from Stanford University in 2023, majored in social psychology and political science. Her campaign responsibilities include voter mobilization and community outreach. However, as The Times notes, Dasha has yet to publicly express support for the candidate.
Journalists suggest that Dasha Navalny’s participation in the Harris campaign may indicate the vice president’s intentions to play a role in Russian opposition politics, given her father’s known anti-Kremlin views.
Alexei Navalny, one of the most famous critics of Vladimir Putin, served a 30-year prison term in Russia. He was officially reported to have died on February 16, 2024 due to health issues, however, leaked documents indicate possible poisoning.
The New Yorker magazine also published excerpts from Navalny’s memoirs, which testify to his premonition of a tragic fate. In one of the entries dated March 22, 2022, he wrote: “I am ready for the worst… I will spend the rest of my life in prison and die here.”
