Amazon will donate $1 million to Trump’s inauguration

The American company Amazon, founded by one of the richest people in the world, Jeff Bezos, plans to donate 1 million dollars to the inauguration fund of the US president-elect Donald Trump. About this informs The Wall Street Journal.

Earlier, the publication noted that the Meta Corporation, headed by Mark Zuckerberg, contributed a similar amount to the Trump fund.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Bezos and other technology company executives are seeking to build relationships with the new Republican administration. The decision to provide financial support was made at Amazon a few days ago and subsequently communicated to Trump’s transition team. In addition, according to sources, the Amazon Prime Video platform will broadcast Trump’s inauguration, scheduled for January 20.

Jeff Bezos is expected to meet Trump in person next week at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida.
