Arrival of F-16 in Ukraine: what the OP and Western media say about it
The day before, a number of Western mass media spread information about the appearance of the first fighter jets in Ukraine.

Ukraine received six American F-16 fighter jets from the Netherlands, which became an important milestone in strengthening its defense capabilities. About this write The Times, which cites its own sources. Several more planes from Denmark are expected to arrive soon, which will further strengthen Ukraine’s military potential.
The arrival of fighter jets to Ukraine was also confirmed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielus Landsbergis in his posts on the X social network. He noted that the first batch of F-16 aircraft had already arrived as part of defense assistance from the West, although he did not specify the exact number. Landsbergis emphasized that until recently such support seemed impossible.
“F-16 in Ukraine. Another impossible thing turned out to be quite possible”, he emphasized, pointing to the change in approaches and the determination of Western partners in supporting Ukraine.
Currently, the Ukrainian authorities have not officially confirmed, but have not denied the information about the arrival of the first batch of Western F-16 fighter jets. Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, said on the air of the national telethon that in this context it is important to preserve the “fog of war”.
“I see that this leads to informational speculations. I would like them to be less. We need to pay attention to official comments. We will not comment on this either ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Why? Because for us the aviation component is a significant survival factor. It is not necessary to speak precisely about the presence or absence of these planes”, – emphasized Podolyak.
He also stressed the importance of official confirmations from both sides and urged the public to wait for them.
The day before, Bloomberg reported that a small number of F-16 fighter jets had arrived in Ukraine, noting that the deadline for the delivery of the aircraft was planned for the end of July, and it was managed to be met. This indicates a high level of coordination and support from Ukraine’s international partners, which is a key factor in ensuring its defense capability against the background of the ongoing conflict.
