Choosing further education for schoolchildren after grade 9 in wartime: opportunities and prospects

The process of choosing an educational institution after completing basic secondary education in Ukraine becomes particularly difficult during wartime, as additional psychological and social pressure is placed on children, and the usual conditions of study are often violated. Students who have received a certificate for 9 grades find themselves faced with the need to decide on their further educational path and at the same time assess their abilities, interests, and employment opportunities in unstable conditions. Internships, exchanges, and master classes will be useful, which help improve skills. It is worth considering the form of education – state or private – especially if you do not plan to pay for a contract. It is also necessary to check whether there is a competition for the desired specialty and a list of documents for admission.

Choosing a path after grade 9 during the war becomes more difficult due to instability and changing learning conditions, but it opens up wide opportunities for the development of both professional and personal competencies. Combining theoretical training with practical activities allows students not only to gain knowledge, but also to adapt to new challenges that the modern labor market poses to them. In times of war, it becomes especially important to provide support for children in choosing a profession and educational institution so that they can realize their abilities and build a stable future.
