The “Diya” application launched a new service that provides state grants for contract students, who will be able to receive financial support from the state for their studies for the first time. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
The grants are intended for students studying full-time or dual-time in bachelor’s or master’s programs in the fields of medicine, veterinary medicine or pharmacy.
Grants will partially or fully cover the cost of education, depending on the scores obtained on the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) in two subjects: UAH 15,000 with a score of over 150 and UAH 25,000 with a score of over 170. In addition, the amount of the grant may increase depending on the specialty.
To receive a grant, students must update the “Diya” application, find the “Study certificate” option, click “Get a grant” and sign the request through Diya.Signature until November 5. “Diya” will inform students when the money will be transferred to the university.
“The introduction of grants is a revolutionary step in the education system of Ukraine. The new funding system changes the approach to education, giving students more freedom in choosing a profession, and universities an incentive to improve the quality of education and the development of science.”, – emphasized the Ministry of Digital.
This service is implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Digitization, the Ministry of Education and Science and State Enterprise “Inforesurs”.
