National Bank issues commemorative coin dedicated to the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The National Bank of Ukraine has put into circulation a commemorative coin “Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” with a denomination of 10 hryvnias. This coin is mandatory for all types of cash payments and receipts. About this NBU reported on your Facebook page.

The issue of the coin is dedicated to the Day of Logistics Specialists of the Armed Forces. The obverse of the coin is identical to the obverse of the 10 hryvnia circulation coin issued in 2018.

On the reverse of the coin are the inscriptions “Steel strength, unshakable will!” and “Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”. The main element is the image of the beret insignia of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: a stylized outline of a fortress with four bastions, on which crossed swords with blades turning into ears of wheat, as well as a vertically positioned Mercury rod. The background of the coin is decorated with topographical maps.

The presentation of the coin was conducted by the Deputy Chairman of the National Bank, Oleksiy Shaban, and the Deputy Commander of the Logistics Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Colonel Serhii Artamoshchenko.

Shaban emphasized the importance of military logistics, noting: “Without logistics, not a single plane will take off, tanks will not move, and neither defense nor offensive is possible.” He emphasized that the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces provide the military with everything necessary to resist the aggressor and the future Victory.

The National Bank plans to issue a total of 10 million such coins so that as many Ukrainians as possible can honor the soldiers during everyday cash payments. A separate part of the circulation – 500,000 coins – will be formed into specially designed rolls of 25 coins each.
